Happy Halloween

How Halloween has changed from my childhood——we were thrilled with a home made costume and a paper bag for treats of my childhood………a hand carved pumpkin with a toothy grin…………..

Now decorating has become a really big deal in some households, moving far beyond the collection of pumpkins on the door step.  Enjoy these scenes spotted  in the Gold Coast  of Chicago last weekend.

    You are right–Halloween decorations have come a long way. They are taken almost as seriously as Christmas decoraations are around here. It looks like nice weather to be in Chicago!
