Scenes in Siena

Even on a rainy, windy day Siena is a delightful place to meander.

This is some of what we saw.

Thank you to Georgia Gietzen, my traveling companion, who shared some of her photos with me.

Patio at our Villa

A little rain didn’t slow these ladies down.

The Gelato is delicious and artfully presented.

The Campo or main square in Siena.  They hold horse races here in the summer.

Typical spot for lunch.

I remember visiting the duomo in Siena at dusk…the music, while recorded, was nevertheless hauntingly beautiful and provided a memorable backdrop while we meandured around inside. Your photos are a lovely reminder. Thank you!

I’ll bet that was lovely. It was overrun with tourists when we were there, but still inspiring.
